Yamaha BB1200 (left-handed, c.1979) — McCartney took up a left-handed Yamaha BB1200 for the recording of Back to the Egg with Wings, and played it on stage and in the studio into the mid-1980s. The Broad Bass, a neck-through Japanese bass, became the instrument that bridged the end of Wings and his early-1980s solo work.
